Job Summary

EMI is seeking dependable, hardworking, and motivated individuals to join our Landscape Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for performing a variety of landscape maintenance services for commercial properties, including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and general grounds upkeep. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial landscaping equipment safely and effectively, including: 
  • Riding mowers
  • Walk-behind mowers
  • String trimmers
  • Backpack blowers
  • Stick edgers
  • Hedge trimmers
  • Chain saws
• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and general landscape maintenance.
• Identify and remove weeds in landscape beds, turf areas, and planting areas.
• Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping materials.
• Perform seasonal cleanups, mulching, leaf removal, and debris collection.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites.
• Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with Crew Leaders and team members.
• Provide quality workmanship while meeting productivity expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping or ground maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Regular walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout an entire workday.
• Comfortable working around landscape equipment and machinery.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and during inclement weather when business needs require.
• Seasonal demands may require extended work hours.
