Facilities Maintenance Technician Lead

Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Lead oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure optimal facility functionality and safety. This role includes performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs, coordinating vendor services, and managing small projects while supporting logistics and compliance with safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

➢Oversee daily maintenance operations and facility upkeep.

➢Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment; coordinate vendor repairs as needed.

➢Execute basic repairs and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.

➢Manage small projects, including dismantling or setting up lines or work areas per customer requirements.

➢Maintain machine shop cleanliness and organization.

Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify repair opportunities and safety concerns.

➢Monitor water supply for production and office areas, coordinate deliveries with vendors.

➢Check trash compactor levels and manage waste disposal with internal teams and Waste Management.

➢Review and file daily PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) inspections; address spills in PIT areas promptly.

➢Assist with forklift driver training and recertification.

➢Monitor facility lighting and power systems; escalate issues as necessary.

➢Support logistics activities, including operator movement within the facility.

➢Other job duties as assigned

Education:

➢High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

➢2-3 years previous experience in facilities maintenance in manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted and involves frequent walking, bending, and reaching throughout the facility. Work is performed in a warehouse and production environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
