We are in need of responsible and reliable people to assist others with intellectual/developmental disabilities in our Community Programs (Day Habilitation, Respite and Community Habilitation) with accessing the supports and resources in their community to help promote independence and increased social skills. Positions in all programs are available in Nassau County and Western Suffolk County. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Implement activities based on program's scheduled activities Provide direct support to participants in their daily activities such as self care and community integration Encourage social interactions and positive behavior Work with individuals to promote their health and safety in the community Drive agency vans (Day Habilitation only) and demonstrate safe driving practices Complete program documentation daily per state and agency guidelines Full Time Employment benefits package includes: Health, Dental & Vision insurance Paid Vacation & Sick Time Paid Holidays Life Insurance 401K Retirement plan Paid training (F/T and P/T) Flexible evening and weekend schedules available through Respite and Community Habilitation; Day Habilitation hours are Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM only!!.
