Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major course work in business, computer information systems, or a related field.
- Experience in systems support work preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another
- Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
Job Purpose:
- Provides help desk customer service and answers user inquires regarding computer software, hardware operation, and the use and interface of systems and software applications
- Provides operational assistance in the implementation and use of computer hardware and software
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving computer-related problems
Job Function:
- Work involves operating automated office equipment such as personal computers, and other comparable equipment in either a stand-alone, network or server environment
- Provides training to agency staff in the implementation and use of automated systems
- Assists in inventory management of technology resources and assets
- Assists in routine database activities, such as pulling data for reports and data entry
