POSITION SUMMARY

Hourly Wage: $21.00 to $24.00

Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location: Plainwell, MI

Student Intern - In-person work location

Assist the engineering department through various projects, primarily with CAD work and implementing continuous improvement requests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Create CAD models and drawings for manufacturing.
• Update part processes and drawings from continuous improvement requests.
• Assist engineers on new projects.
• Other tasks as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Drawing/CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
• Second year of college or greater

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Currently enrolled at a four-year college or university in a curriculum including mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or other related technical discipline.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Working conditions are normal for an office setting within a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting materials and products of up to 30 pounds.
• Machinery environment requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protection, protective shoes/boots. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
• Employees must demonstrate physical ability to work in a standing or sitting position, up to 8-12 hours per day.
