Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: Dallas TX - Plano, TX 75024Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Category: FinancePosition Summary The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role partners closely with executive leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, audits, cash management, payroll, and overall accounting operations while leading continuous process improvements.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial statement preparation. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP. Develop and maintain effective internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance. Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis activities. Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors and tax professionals. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions for accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and related accounting functions. Analyze financial results, prepare variance reports, and provide recommendations to support executive decision-making. Maintain banking relationships and oversee treasury and cash management activities. Support ERP system administration, process improvements, and implementation of accounting best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Sales, Human Resources, Operations, and Executive Leadership. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management. 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting staff or accounting operations. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience managing annual audits and working with external auditors. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications CPA certification preferred. Experience with SAP, Concur, or similar ERP/accounting systems.
