DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Provide strategic oversight of workforce-related privacy governance within the Human Resources and Employee Experience Chief Data Office. Key accountabilities include directing the management of workforce data breaches, leading the privacy impact assessment process, and enabling the effective administration of data subject rights requests. Proactively monitor and interpret emerging privacy laws and regulatory changes, conduct comprehensive regulatory assessments, and serve as a trusted privacy advisor to internal teams and stakeholders. Oversee the development and stewardship of privacy governance documentation in alignment with firmwide data protection standards, as well as the implementation of robust privacy controls through cross-functional collaboration. Drive reporting and analysis of privacy metrics, manage escalation and remediation of non-compliance issues, and sponsor strategic privacy initiatives to advance organizational objectives. Promote a culture of privacy awareness, deliver targeted training on privacy principles and policies, and oversee digital governance activities-including cookies, pixels, and tag management-to enable responsible data collection. Lead audit responses, design and validate privacy controls, and enable ongoing compliance and operational excellence across all HR data privacy practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Management, Project Manager, Business Systems Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's in Human Resource Management, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Data Management, Product Manager, Business Systems Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: Developing, documenting, and enforcing data privacy policies, standards, and operating procedures within the financial industry; Leading large-scale HR data governance and platform integration projects, demonstrating measurable improvements in compliance efficiency and operational performance; Supporting and conducting regulatory assessments, audits, and responses related to HR data privacy compliance; Designing and implementing HR data privacy programs compliant with major global privacy regulations, including GDPR, PIPL, LGPD, and Personal Data Protection Act; Performing data privacy and risk assessments within the Human Resources Chief Data and Analytics Office of a global banking institution, focusing on regulatory and operational risks associated with HR data processing and analytics including employee, candidate, and non-employee dependent data; Designing and managing a global HR privacy incident response program, including automated incident tracking, escalation, and reporting mechanisms; Managing Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and conducting transfer risk assessments for cross-border HR data transfers, as well as deploying and administering privacy management platforms using OneTrust, GLASS, and RADAR to support compliance monitoring and incident management; Developing and delivering data privacy training programs for HR staff and executives across multiple jurisdictions.
