Financial Advisor

Purpose:

As part of the Wealth Management Team, the Financial Advisor drives business development growth, client experience and retention. The Financial Advisor is the primary source of relationship development, consultation, and advice to assigned existing clients of the firm. Expertise is expected on matters of financial planning, estate planning, risk and insurance management, and tax management. This role is a key point of contact on the client experience team that helps clients identify, prioritize, and ultimately achieve their financial goals. As a fiduciary, Financial Advisors foster and build long-term, trusting relationships with clients while delivering financial advice based on the clients’ best interests. This role is responsible for obtaining new Households through management of a lead pipeline by means of proactive introductions, unsolicited referrals, social and education events, firm generated prospect introductions, and advisor networking.

The Financial Advisor leads prospects through the New Client Core Process of qualifying, discovery, proposal, and implementation. The Financial Advisor ensures adherence to the Wealth Management Core Process to provide a Raving Fan experience to clients above and beyond expectations. This role is responsible for instilling hope and confidence in the eyes of clients and prospects to build long-lasting, trusting relationships resulting in client retention and client driven introductions to others. The Financial Advisor works with the Wealth Management team, consisting of a Wealth Advisor, Client Service Associate, and Client Care Coordinator to serve clients from $250,000 up to $1 million.

This team has regular client interaction, conducts outbound proactive calls, and actively participates in Goal Reviews and Portfolio Reviews. The primary metrics of a Financial Advisor include net organic growth, discovery meetings held, net new households, wallet share and retention.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to the New Client and Wealth Management core process, while providing proactive and reactive service within the Credent experience for client care.
  • Manages a pipeline of leads.
  • Perform proactive calls to clients including annual Portfolio Review calls and quarterly stay in touch (SIT) calls.
  • Regularly meets with assigned clients once per year to foster and build long term, trusting relationships through the Credent Experience process
    • Conduct and present a Goal Review by guiding clients through a process of identifying and prioritizing financial and personal goals inclusive of retirement, college, major purchase, and miscellaneous planning needs. These plans are then stress tested and shared with the client.
  • Communicate with and educate clients to ensure an understanding and appreciation of Credent’s fiduciary standards and the benefits of our ensemble team service structure
  • Manage relationships and build confidence with current and prospective clients
  • Participate in and support the Wealth Advisor at various firm sponsored educational and social events with prospects and clients.
  • Work with team members in a way that is conducive with the mission, values, and beliefs of the company to provide client service beyond expectations
  • Remain knowledgeable of the policies and regulations of the regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all work activities as well as comply with company-wide policies and regulatory bodies

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 1+ years in Financial Planning, Wealth Management, or related field

Other:

  • Financial services experience
  • Series 65 or equivalent
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or other advanced degree or designation such as CPA
