Key Responsibilities: - Inspect and assess the quality of donated shoes to determine their suitability for resale. - Sort shoes into appropriate categories based on condition, style, and brand. - Identify and set aside items that require repair or are unsuitable for sale. - Maintain an organized and efficient grading area to ensure smooth operations. - Collaborate with team members to optimize grading processes and meet productivity goals. - Assist in pricing shoes according to established guidelines and market trends. - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management. - Provide feedback and suggestions for improving grading standards and practices. - Support the overall mission of GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC by promoting a positive and professional work environment. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: - Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred. - Familiarity with shoe brands, styles, and quality assessment is advantageous. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately assess the condition and quality of shoes. - Good organizational skills to manage and sort inventory efficiently. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking. - Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors. - Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
