Behind every great surgical experience is a team of people who are precise, prepared, compassionate, and committed to one another. We are looking for an experienced Certified Surgical Technician with proven leadership ability to serve as our Lead Surgery Technician in Plano.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will work closely with our providers, Center Director, Surgical Operations Manager, and Director of Surgical and Clinical Services to help coordinate the day-to-day activities of the surgery team, support our surgeons, guide and mentor team members, and help ensure every surgical day runs safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do
As our Lead Surgery Technician, you will help keep our surgical team prepared, organized, and moving forward. Responsibilities include:
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members throughout the procedural day.
- Help coordinate daily surgical workflow, technician assignments, and team coverage.
- Review the daily schedule and delegate responsibilities to support an efficient and balanced
- Collaborate with the Center Director, Surgical Operations Manager and Director of Surgical and Clinical Services to ensure score card meets KPIs.
- Ensure the OR and Laser Vision Correction areas are properly stocked with necessary supplies and sterile instruments in a timely manner.
- Communicate supply, implant, and medication needs to the Surgical Operations Director.
- Support safe, efficient patient care by following established surgical policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with surgeons, team members, and administration.
- Provide calm, direct leadership during tie-sensitive, or emergent situations.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members using respectful and effective communication.
- Participate in new employee training and cross-training throughout surgical areas.
- Stay current on surgical practices, policies, training requirements, and organizational standards.
- Step into any surgical team position when needed.
What We're Looking For
This is a leadership position, and we are looking for someone who brings both strong technical expertise and proven leadership ability to the surgical environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven Successful Lead Position.
- Current Surgical Technician certification.
- Prior experience working as a Surgical Technician.
- Proven leadership ability and demonstrated success leading, mentoring, or developing others.
- Strong knowledge of surgical operations and technical procedures.
- Ability to manage daily schedules, prioritize needs, delegate effectively, and hold team members accountable.
- Excellent communication and inter/intrapersonal skills.
- Ability to provide clear, respectful, and timely feedback.
- Ability to remain calm and level-headed in a fast-paced or emergent surgical environment.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and daily chart management.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Ability to complete required departmental certifications within designated timeframes.
- Ability to maintain required OSHA, HIPAA, and CPR training and certifications.
- Ability to commit to a full time position working five days a week and participate in the department's on-call rotation.
- Ability to travel during the day and occasionally overnight to other ClearSight locations for training, meetings, or surgical team collaboration.
- Professional references that can speak directly to your leadership, teamwork, communication, and performance will be required as part of the selection process. A 360-degree reference process may include former supervisors, peers, and individuals you have led or mentored.
