What you’ll be doing:Â
Schedule: Full Time - Three, 12-hour shifts per week, including alternating weekends
The Milieu Therapist facilitates groups based on core curriculum, provides meal monitoring and meal support., and offers milieu support, de-escalation and behavior coaching to patients in IP/Res and PHP programs. The Milieu Therapist may be required to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.Â
Essential duties and responsibilities:Â
- Facilitates curriculum-based groups.Â
- Provides meal monitoring and support.Â
- Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations Â
- Provides support to Milieu including the following:Â
- De-escalation and crisis managementÂ
- Bathroom monitoringÂ
- Monitoring outside breaksÂ
- Conducts self-harm and suicide assessmentÂ
- Support morning routine in IP/Res programsÂ
- Collect weights, vitals and urine in some settingsÂ
- Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients and serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends. Will lead more advanced groups.Â
- Coverage for Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical DirectorÂ
Must haves:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)Â
- Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program (required)Â
- Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board (required) Â
- Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (requirement waived with relevant master's degree)Â
Bonus qualities: Â
- 1+ year facilitating groups (preferred)Â
