US Heart and Vascular is in need of a full time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Heartplace in Plano, TX.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.

  • Administers all in-office nuclear tests.

  • Images, processes, and formats images for physician interpretation.

  • Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room.

  • Documents test results to physicians and patients, as directed by physician.

  • Verifies patient appointments the day before, to ensure use of isotope.

  • Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing, i.e., “do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.”

  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed.

  • Maintains current CPR certification.

  • Always adheres to company safety standards, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.

  • Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.

  • Performs all other duties as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Degree or appropriate certification training.

  • Minimum two years cardiovascular screening experience.

  • ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine.

  • Current CPR certification.
