Description
The Pool Service Maintenance Specialist I will maintain pools at client’s and associated facilities for the company.  Â
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cleans and maintains filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.Â
- Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.Â
- Regularly tests pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.Â
- Ensures correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.  Â
- Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.Â
- Inspects pool and equipment; troubleshoots and repairs identified issues.Â
- Completes and maintains daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.  Â
- Resolves client or customer problems.Â
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Â
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Â
- Extensive understanding of repairs, automation, equipment, and piping related to swimming pools. Â
- Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment. Â
- Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios.Â
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain logs and records.Â
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.  Â
- One year of related experience required.Â
- Physical Requirements:Â Â
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time. Â
- Must have adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret water analysis, equipment readings, and complete recordkeeping.Â
- Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and facilities.Â
