The Project Manager is a key member of the project execution team responsible for managing assigned projects in accordance with customer requirements, company procedures, approved project margins, and committed schedules. This role coordinates cross-functional execution, manages risks and change, communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders, and drives projects from turnover through closeout.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Review, prepare, and maintain project budgets, procurement plans, material requisitions, project schedules, manpower loading plans, and other applicable job data in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, inspection, start-up, and other departments to meet scheduled task deadlines and project commitments.
• Communicate project status, schedule risks, cost impacts, scope issues, and customer needs promptly and professionally with internal teams and customers.
• Schedule and facilitate project review meetings focused on scope of supply, cost control, construction progress, schedule performance, risks, obstacles, and action items.
• Advise management of project status, key risks, and recovery plans while adhering to company policies and established safety procedures.
• Support supplier and subcontractor negotiations and coordinate procurement activities required for project buyout.
• Prepare, review, submit, and track material requisitions, submittals, purchase requirements, and change order requests.
• Monitor project margins, identify cost or schedule variances, and support corrective actions to protect project performance.
• Maintain organized project documentation, meeting notes, decision logs, action trackers, and closeout records.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS WILL INCLUDE:
• Experience managing projects in a related industry such as industrial water systems, ultrapure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, semiconductor wafer fabrication, or similar technical project environments.
• Experience with industrial equipment and piping design, fabrication, and installation.
• Experience managing/dispositioning submittals, RFIs, Transmittals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale, dynamic projects both in person and remotely.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in non-standard situations involving multiple variables.
• Strong interpersonal, customer-facing, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, contract documents, and other complex industry-related documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project tracking, scheduling, reporting, and documentation tools.
• Knowledgeable in using AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT for meeting minutes, action item tracking, status reporting, document review, data analysis, and project communication support.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL POSSESS:
• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, construction management, or another related technical discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience; and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience managing projects in the water treatment industry or semiconductor wafer fab environment with UPW and WWT systems is preferred.
• PMP certification or formal project management training is preferred.
WILL I NEED TO TRAVEL:
• Travel to customer job sites up to 50%, including periods of 2 weeks on customer site and one week off customer site.
