About this opportunity

Ericsson is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to join the People team for Cloud Software & Services (CSS) Americas, based in Plano, TX. Reporting to the Head of People, CSS Americas, this experienced role focuses on field service and industrial relations, union-related matters, employment law compliance across North America, and core People Business Partner responsibilities. Your work will directly influence organizational effectiveness and business outcomes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


What you will do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders, providing consultation, coaching, guidance, and data-driven insights to improve organizational effectiveness and results
  • Align people strategy with business priorities by helping leaders build capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes that drive performance
  • Advise on employee relations, union matters, employment law compliance, performance management, and employee life cycle processes, ensuring consistent and compliant application of policies and collective bargaining agreements
  • Proactively manage complex employee matters, labor relations, workplace investigations, and employment-related risks through clear guidelines and fair, documented resolutions
  • Collaborate across the People function — including Total Rewards, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development — to deliver integrated solutions
  • Support collective bargaining readiness by partnering with Legal, Operations, Finance, and People partners on planning and negotiation preparation
  • Support high-volume recruiting plans, off-site recruiting events, leadership meetings, and university job fairs as needed
  • Use AI-enabled tools and people analytics to streamline work, improve decisions, identify trends, and enhance the impact of People-related solutions
  • Travel approximately 25–30% across North America (US and Canada) for union bargaining, leadership meetings, regional office visits, and recruiting events


The skills you bring

  • Preferably 15+ years of HR experience; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; Master’s degree and PHR or equivalent certification preferred
  • Seasoned HR Business Partner experience with increasing scope, ideally in a matrixed, geographically dispersed, or high-volume environment
  • Required experience in unionized settings, including advising on union matters, applying collective bargaining agreements, and managing labor relations; negotiation experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and policies; Canadian employment law experience preferred
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor on people, organizational, employee relations, and compliance matters
  • Excellent communication, influencing, coaching, consulting, and facilitation skills
  • Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to connect business challenges to people strategy and workforce planning
  • Analytical, metrics-driven approach with a proactive mindset for problem-solving and process improvement
  • AI-agile mindset, with experience adopting AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and generate insights
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and remain composed in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Bilingual (French and English) experience preferred

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply. 

Your Health
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
