Facilitates and enhances learning and development initiatives for FedEx employees, collaborating with subject matter experts and FedEx University to identify effective solutions. Acts as a training facilitator to achieve organizational improvement, focusing on consultation, program coordination, implementation, and reporting. This role will directly support Network 2.0.

Location Details:

This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 50 miles radius of a campus you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.

  • If employee's current salary fits within the salary range for the special assignment job, there is no change to salary.
  • If employee's current salary is over or under special assignment job salary range, employee is brought to range minimum or reduced to top of range.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver in-person, virtual, and blended learning programs to advance leadership, technical, and operational skills.
  • Facilitate onboarding and continuous education for middle managers and above and individual contributors.
  • Conduct orientation and onboarding programs for frontline managers and individual contributors.
  • Share expert knowledge of FedEx operations, emphasizing operating agreements, business strategies, and the service provider model in station and hub operations.
  • Demonstrate and apply engineering principles effectively in managing station and hub operations.
  • Collaborate in developing learning curricula and materials.
  • Monitor and analyze learning outcomes, ensuring communication with relevant departments.
  • Coordinate logistics and support for learning events.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on course content and delivery.
  • Participate in projects to address educational gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with company and ISO standards.
  • Promote superior customer service and continuous improvement in learning and development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Training & Development, Human Resources, Business Management, Communications, or a related field required. In addition to the minimum experience qualifications below, four (4) years of experience in a business, educational, transportation, operations or related field accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree

Minimum Experience

  • Five (5) years of experience in the education and/or training field as an instructor-, learning developer, or employee development specialists or related experience is required. Must have two (2) years of middle manager or above experience in FedEx field operations management or district / regional / business area support role. In lieu of middle manager or above or district /regional / corporate experience, advanced working knowledge of safety, engineering, human resources, or related business area experience required. Prior Leadership or management experience preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Software skills, including Microsoft Office, Office 365 and other web-based business applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management, to explain complex and/or confidential information
  • Presentation skills are necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
  • Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to FedEx operations.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships and to gain input and influence management.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures used in FedEx operations.
  • Virtual/In-person facilitation certification preferred
