We are looking for a skilled Mobile Engineer to perform technical and mechanical functions related to the property's plant and equipment in orderĀ to achieve energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, and engineering services to the building and its tenants. This person will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of all assigned buildings in the area.

Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Comply with all EPA, OSHA & ASHRAE rules, requirements, procedures and industry and Company safety guidelines.Ā 
  • Perform all necessary preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire control and building management systems; conduct monthly maintenance inspections as assigned and completing them on timeĀ 
  • Conduct Site inspections to include roof, mechanical & electrical rooms as assignedĀ 
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility systems including: HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, and preventive and corrective maintenance tasksĀ 
  • Communicates effectively and clearly often with facility managers, tenants, vendors, employees, and visitorsĀ 
  • Provides recommendations/guidance on equipment upgrades and facility improvementsĀ 
  • Daily local travel between assigned propertiesĀ 
  • Maintain a neat, clean professional appearance at all times, repair or replace worn or stained uniforms as neededĀ 
  • Maintain an inventory of all tools, equipment, and vehicles issued.Ā 
  • Interact with client/tenants in a professional mannerĀ 
  • Immediately inform Regional Operations Manager of any problems.Ā 
  • Assist in coordinating the completion of any construction projects.Ā 
  • Assist in natural disaster recovery effortsĀ 
  • Must be able to read and write English in order to understand manuals, procedures and written instructionsĀ 
  • Must be comfortable in using mobile device or laptop to access work order system, building systems, and use emailĀ 
  • Handle other duties as assignedĀ 

Desired Competency, Experience and Skills:Ā 

  • Training and certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies and/or job related training and experienceĀ 
  • 2 years of field experience or equivalent technical trainingĀ 
  • CFC training and certification or ability to obtain certification for the type of refrigerant serviced, preferredĀ 
  • Continuing education in fieldĀ 
  • Strong mechanical aptitudeĀ 
  • Ability to work independently with routine supervisionĀ 
  • Basic computer skills necessary to operate Building Automation SystemsĀ 
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC and NFC codes and regulationsĀ 

Essential Functions:Ā 

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Ā 
  • Work from heightsĀ 
  • Verify colorsĀ 
  • Ability to climb 28 ft. ladders routinelyĀ 

This role is not a hybrid or remote role but expected to be at portfolio properties.
