Job Summary
The Grain Systems Superintendent is responsible for leading safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of grain system projects from start to finish. This role oversees production planning, crew leadership, equipment coordination, and field execution while working closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Subcontractors, and Vendors.
The Superintendent ensures materials and equipment are scheduled and available, crews are clearly directed and supported, and potential issues such as shortages, back orders, or site challenges are identified and resolved proactively. This position drives productivity across multiple projects while maintaining accessibility and strong communication with field crews to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Summit quality standards.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise grain system crews across multiple active projects
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term production schedules
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Coordinators to ensure job readiness prior to mobilization
- Ensure materials, equipment, and subcontractors are properly scheduled and available
- Proactively identify and resolve site constraints, back orders, or production challenges
- Drive budget performance through disciplined planning and cost awareness
- Maintain high safety standards and enforce company safety policies
- Monitor crew productivity and continuously improve efficiency
- Coach and develop foremen into strong, effective leaders
- Ensure installations meet Summit quality standards with minimal rework or callbacks
- Maintain organized, clean, and efficient jobsites
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities

- Ability to travel as needed
Education / Experience
- CDL Class A with Air Brakes (required)
- NCCCO Crane Certification – TLL (preferred)
- High School Diploma (required)
- 5+ years industry experience in grain systems or ag construction
- 3+ years experience as a Foreman or in Team Leadership
- Proven experience organizing and directing efficient construction plans
- Experience managing production strategies and driving jobsite performance
Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
