Job Summary:

The Director - Processing Performance oversees and optimizes egg processing operations nationwide, ensuring operational excellence in plant execution, quality, safety, and production efficiency. This role focuses on implementing processing performance initiatives, improving plant operations, managing personnel, ensuring safety compliance, controlling costs, and driving continuous improvement, with emphasis on integrating newly acquired processing operations into Versova's management system. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead teams to establish operational stability and excellence  
  • Direct all staff-related decisions, including selection, onboarding, performance evaluation, career progression, and corrective action 
  • Develop and implement strategies for processing plant efficiency and quality improvement  
  • Collaborate with Business Unit operations and Compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements  
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for processing plant performance  
  • Provide coaching and development to team members  
  • Analyze KPIs and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency  
  • Align processing operations with overall production and business objectives  
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance throughout processing facilities  
  • Establish and implement a universal reporting system for better business decision-making  
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience  
  • 6+years of experience in large-scale production, preferably in food processing or agriculture with 56+ years in leadership roles 
  • Experience in managing processing operations, including maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance  
  • Strong leadership and communication skills  
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, FSMA) and best practices  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with egg processing industry specifics

Work Environment:

This position involves a dynamic work setting that combines office-based strategic planning with hands-on involvement in production environments. The position requires frequent travel to various plant locations nationwide, exposing the incumbent to diverse operational settings. The work environment includes both temperature-controlled offices and production floors with varying climate conditions, including exposure to extreme cold. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Due to the nature of processing operations, the role may require flexibility to work during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. This fast-paced position demands high adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to transition seamlessly between strategic oversight and practical, on-the-ground operational management.
