As an Accounting Assistant at BHSN, you will assist the accounting department.  This position works within accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and other financial functions.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Completes data entry, filing, mailings and other clerical duties for the Accounting Department
- Researches, tracks, resolves financial discrepancies
- Prepares and coordinates deposit activities
- Code payables according to Agency chart of accounts accurately while verifying proper documentation and approval(s) are obtained
- Follow up on outstanding Agency checks and returned payments
- Track Rep Payee funds, prepare bank transfers and ensure the Agency is being a proper steward
- Processes payroll timely and accurately; calculates and enters payroll deductions; monitors timecards for accuracy
- Generates invoices to clients and outside agencies
- Tracks outstanding accounts receivable
- Responds in a professional and timely manner to customer service requests
- Attends department meetings and trainings as required
- Attends 90% of Agency Town Halls/Retreats
- Continues education as necessary through BHSN University
- Performs other duties as assigned within context of job description     Â
Skills and Qualifications:  Â
- High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred
- Expert in Microsoft Excel andÂ
- Excellent customer service and communication skillsÂ
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
