Your Clinical Impact

In this role, you will work under the guidance of our Occupational Therapists to help residents regain their independence:

  • Therapeutic Intervention: Implement treatment plans as directed by the OT and physician to help patients master activities of daily living (ADLs).

  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain meticulous records, including daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports, in compliance with OT Board and payer requirements.

  • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Communicate effectively with supervisors and the broader health team regarding patient progress and discharge goals.

  • Education & Support: Instruct nursing staff and families in maintenance programs and caregiver training to ensure a safe transition home; assist in training Restorative Aides.

  • Departmental Excellence: Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area and report equipment issues to ensure a safe, high-functioning environment.

  • Professional Rapport: Build positive, effective relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
