Hiring Manager: Quality Assurance Manager

Reports to: Quality Control Supervisor

Job Type: Full-Time, hourly, non-exempt

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Pay Range: $19-$21 per hour

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports Quality Control Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager with Quality and Continuous Improvement efforts and projects.
  • Mentors and assists with the training of Quality Control Technicians.
  • Tracks and records Receivers.
  • In the absence of the QC Supervisor, assigns workstations and initiates MRBs.
  • Reports call-ins, or employee notifications of any kind to QC Supervisor or QA Manager.
  • Supports calibrated equipment maintenance programs by performing routine testing and maintenance of measurement devices to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Documents calibration information and processes and collaborates with QC Supervisor and QA Manager to resolve equipment issues.
  • Solicits quotes for and sends out equipment to third parties for calibration services from approved vendors when external calibration is required.
  • May be assigned by the QC Supervisor to assist or fill in at unmanned QC workstation or task as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to use and train others on the use of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, and other common measurement tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some technical school education preferred; mathematics emphasis preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift (up to) 15 pounds at a time.
  • Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.
