Fitness Attendant

Location: The Club at Ruby Hill: Pleasanton, CA

Reports To: Director of Health & Wellness

The Fitness Attendant assists in implementing daily activities at Ruby Hill, including managing the Fitness Center, Pool, and Tennis Courts. They ensure that all shifts are executed to the highest standard.

This position is subject to overtime.

Schedule:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Opener.

Responsibilities:

• Greets Members in a cheerful and welcoming manner. Building professional and positive relationships with all Members & Guests of The Club at Ruby Hill.

• Assists all participants through the sign-in process to utilize The Club at Ruby Hill facilities.

• Properly records, documents, and enters member activity into the ForeTees system which may include charges.

• Maintains a general knowledge and understanding of membership & guest privileges at The Club. Knowledgeable of all club events, operations, and activities. Answers questions regarding the Club. Informs and educates members on the rules, regulations, and policies of the Club.

• Presents an enthusiastic, friendly, and positive attitude. Has an outgoing personality and communication skills. Must be a team player, cooperative, and willing to participate in any given task or activity.

• Answers the phone with the correct company greeting in a calm and welcoming voice.

• Responsible for completing daily shift duties. Restock items as needed. Adheres to all sanitation and cleaning protocols to keep The Club at Ruby Hill grounds clean and orderly.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of the offered fitness equipment.

• Implements all water safety policies and procedures.

• Snack Bar duties may include delivering food and beverage poolside.

• Keeps management informed of problems and provides feedback from members.

• Recognizes and responds effectively and efficiently to all unsafe conditions or emergencies.

• Opens and/or closes The Club at Ruby Hill when scheduled.

• Punctual to all shifts and wears the designated uniform while at work.

• Attends all required meetings.

Requirements:

• CPR/AED training and certification recommended.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Pay Range: $17 -$30 an hour
