Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, is looking for a “Scientist" based out of Pleasanton, CA.

 

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate : $49/hr on W2 DOE

Support assay development activities through laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and documentation in a regulated R&D environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on molecular biology experience, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of DNA/RNA-based techniques.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments following established protocols, safety guidelines, and data integrity standards.
  • Perform DNA/RNA isolation and molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, and preferably digital PCR.
  • Analyze experimental data using statistical tools such as JMP and document results in electronic laboratory notebooks (eLN).
  • Prepare technical reports, protocols, and supporting documentation for design history files.
  • Troubleshoot experimental issues and contribute to project timelines and objectives.
  • Present findings to supervisors and project teams as needed.
  • Support routine laboratory operations, inventory management, safety compliance, and quality system requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 0–5 years of laboratory experience in assay development, molecular biology, or related research environments.
  • Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and molecular biology techniques.
  • Strong data analysis and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with statistical software such as JMP preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, data integrity practices, and regulated environments is a plus.
