POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager General Accounting is responsible for the month end closing process including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and Financial Statements prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) for the Affiliated Entities of AtlantiCare. This is accomplished through strong oversight and development of the accounting staff. This position develops and evaluates accounting controls and procedures. The Manager is responsible for accurate reporting and interpretation of financial information to the Director of Finance – Financial Reporting and Management. The Manager will work directly with the daily banking activities, plant ledger and grant related financial reporting. Manager also works closely with External Auditors during annual audit of the various organizations financial statements. This position works closely with the Accounting staff of the Medical Center due to the many intercompany transactions that occur. A strong working knowledge of financial systems and reports is required.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:Â Certified Public Accountant or Masters Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:Â 4-6 years financial experience required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports directly to the Director of Finance – Financial Reporting.
