Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely invoice processing from EMC Vendors upon completion of work.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Accounts Payable responsibilities, including invoice entry, sales and use tax compliance, vendor relations, inquiries and information requests.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements.
  • Effectively identify and communicate barriers to success, issues or problems to the Finance leadership team.
  • Assist in composing and processing the weekly Accounts Payable check run.
  • Actively participate in process flow documentation as well as standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in process efficiency.
  • Provide back-up support to the Finance team and assist with projects as needed.
  • Support the Finance managers in various related activities, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Proven/verifiable skills in Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually.
  • Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task.
  • Possesses dependability, integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Analytical/problem solver.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.


Education:
Four-year degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.

Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:
2 years Accounting experience.

Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
