You’ll join a team that values everything you do, who you are, and the goals you’ve set for your career. We want to give you the opportunity to grow, earn competitive pay, and be happy while you do it. Sounds simple, but we love it.

Our Opportunity:

Chewy’s mission is to be the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents, equine professionals, and partners everywhere. We view pets, pet parents, and the equine community as family and are obsessed with meeting their needs and exceeding customer expectations through every interaction.

As part of Chewy’s SmartPak business, the Associate CRM Marketing Manager is responsible for executing promotional marketing campaigns and optimizing lifecycle marketing campaigns that strengthen customer engagement, retention, and loyalty. This role supports CRM strategy through campaign deployment, audience segmentation, quality assurance, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver personalized customer experiences that drive business results.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple campaign priorities at once. This role will partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, Technology, and business stakeholders to ensure CRM campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned to SmartPak and Chewy business priorities.

What You’ll Do:

Email Campaign Execution

  • Support CRM and Retention efforts through daily email campaign building and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of emails.

  • Ensure creative, offers, and copy are properly integrated into campaigns.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align email execution with promotions and brand initiatives.

  • Identify and execute A/B testing opportunities to improve overall business performance.

  • Build modular, reusable email templates and components, including headers, footers, product grids, hero blocks, and UGC sections using table-based HTML.

  • Implement responsive layouts, including fluid and hybrid layouts, and dark-mode-safe styles. Leverage scripting languages like MJML and Liquid when appropriate.

  • Collaborate on the email design system in partnership with the creative team, including tokens, color palettes, typography rules, and asset specifications.

  • Create code libraries and snippets for common patterns, including buttons, navigation, carousels, and banners, to accelerate production.

Deliverability and List Health

  • Maintain a clean send list to optimize deliverability and reduce spam risk.

  • Monitor deliverability performance and troubleshoot issues.

  • Validate link accuracy, UTM parameters, image alt text, load performance, and asset paths or CDN references.

  • Implement best practices to keep customers engaged and compliant.

Customer Experience and Automations

  • Implement accessibility best practices, including semantic markup, proper ALT text, color contrast, logical reading order, focus states for interactive elements, and meaningful link text.

  • Build and maintain templates for onboarding and welcome, browse and shop abandon, cart abandon, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, loyalty and rewards, and referral flows.

  • Ensure transactional message templates, including order confirmation, shipping updates, cancellations, and password reset, are accurate, compliant, and brand-aligned.

Creative Asset Development and Management

  • Ensure creative assets are developed, tagged, and trafficked on time for campaign execution.

  • Identify best practices for creative execution by channel, and provide recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.

Campaign Measurement and Optimization

  • Suggest and test improvements to increase engagement and conversion.

  • Maintain compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other email regulations.

  • Ensure campaigns are set up and tagged appropriately for sales attribution.

  • Collaborate with creative and business teams to continuously optimize creative and messaging.

  • Own and maintain the source code table for the email team.

  • Track campaign performance, summarize key results, and share actionable recommendations with the team.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in email marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, digital marketing, marketing operations, or a related field.

  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Emarsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Braze, or similar tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign results and identify optimization opportunities.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS for email development, troubleshooting, or template updates.

  • Working knowledge of email compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or other customer communication regulations.
