About the Role

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their onsite team in Plymouth, Indiana. This role supports cost accounting, quoting, and margin analysis in a manufacturing environment and will be instrumental during an ERP transition to Syspro.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys detailed analysis, working closely with operations, and contributing to process accuracy and financial insight.

What You’ll Do

• Perform cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment
• Prepare and manage customer quotes, including complex and detailed pricing requests
• Analyze job costs and margins; identify and explain variances between quoted and actual results
• Ensure price increases are accurately reflected in systems and reporting
• Support job closing activities as needed
• Work within a legacy accounting system while supporting the transition to Syspro ERP
• Use Excel extensively for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (no customer-facing POC responsibilities)

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience with strong analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• ERP system experience (Syspro exposure a plus)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail-oriented, process-driven mindset
• Ability to work onsite and adapt in a changing systems environment
