Join us and be a part of our exciting journey towards growth and excellence.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re hiring a Lead Technician to be the face of our field installs—owning outcomes, solving real problems, and guiding projects across the finish line. If you’ve got a strong mechanical mindset, can speak fluently with customers and teammates alike, and know your way around wires, dashboards, and diagnostic tools, this seat is built for you.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time, even when working independently and under pressure. Whether you’re installing low-voltage cabling at a retail site or wiring a GPS system into a fleet vehicle, you’re calm, capable, and always professional.

You’ll work remotely but travel frequently—sometimes at night or over weekends depending on project needs. You’ll be the go-to technician on-site, so leadership, clarity, and ownership are a must.

What You’ll Do:

Deliver high-quality on-site service and customer communication during installation, maintenance, or repair activities, ensuring professional conduct and issue resolution.

  • Install and configure low-voltage network cabling and hardware in field environments, adhering to site specs, safety standards, and project timelines
  • Lead vehicle-based installations of telematics, GPS, and electronic systems, ensuring accuracy, calibration, and adherence to manufacturer requirements
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues independently, using diagrams, tools, and software to identify and correct field problems
  • Document work clearly and completely using digital tools, ensuring photos, checklists, and system entries meet closeout and reporting standards

Why Join FSS?

+ Paid training and certifications

+ Clear career advancement path

+ Opportunity to travel across the United States

+ Hands-on experience with fleet technology and vehicle electronics

+ Learn from experienced industry professionals

+ Build a long-term career in a growing technology field

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-facing presence
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and problem-solve in the field
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules (days, nights, weekends)
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Nice to Have:

  • 1+ years of experience in network cabling, telecom, or automotive electronics
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with telematics or diagnostic tools (e.g., Samsara, GPS platforms)
  • Technical diploma or certificate in electronics, automotive, or telecom-related fields
  • Certifications such as BICSI Installer, CompTIA Network+, MECP, or equivalent

This Role Isn’t for You If:

You avoid ownership, struggle to communicate clearly on-site, or shy away from complex or messy installs. If you prefer a desk, dislike travel, or need someone to guide every move—this probably isn’t your seat.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to work inside vehicles and confined spaces.

+ Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods.

+ Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Our Benefits:

Focus on Culture and Employee Engagement: Emphasizing work-life balance.

Paid Time Off

Medical/Dental/Vision Plans: Starting the first of the month following hire date.

401(k) + Company Match

Profit Sharing

Life and Disability Insurance
