PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under general direction of the Business Manager, works on all aspects of the project from receipt of approved quote thru follow up.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer contact for planning.
- Develops customer relationships and works to integrate TDM into the vehicle team.
- Effectively rolls out program deliverables and impact to prototype and or production tooling shops.
- Conducts review and/or composition of timeline, engineering data, deliverables prior to kick-off.
- Conducts kick-off meetings.
- Participates in Engineering Change activity in support of program
- Updates scheduling following kick-off and upon receipt of engineering changes that impact timing of all programs.Â
- Analyzes prototype concern sheets and reviews potential production impact with Project Manager(s).
- Conducts status meetings and assists manufacturing team in containment planning for internal/external publishing.Â
- Is part of the 8-D cross functional team when required and works with lessons learned or debriefing.
- Monitors and understands tooling status.
- Attends customer directed meetings when required.Â
- Participates in end item quality reviews and is the liaison to the vehicle assembly site attending AIMS issue meetings and in plant follow up.Â
- Performs other duties and required or requested.Â
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIRED:
- B.S. degree or equivalent experience 2+ yrs. Â in a manufacturing process environment Â
- MS Suite experience – Excel, Word, Power Point
- Excellent written and verbal communication ability
- Cost estimating and budget planning knowledge Â
- Ability to work with others Â
- Flexible, positive attitude and leadership characteristics Â
PREFERRED:
- Automotive related process experience
- Resource planning experienceÂ
- Previous skilled trade supervision a plusÂ
