The Product Line Manager I defines and guides a product’s strategy, roadmap, and features from concept to market launch by understanding customer needs and market trends. They act as a liaison between business, engineering, marketing, and sales, translating business strategy into customer value and ensuring the product aligns with company goals. Job Responsibilities Â
- Strategy and Vision: Define the product's long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with the overall business goals.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as the customer's voice, advocating for user needs and gathering customer requirements to inform product development.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, understand customer needs, and determine product viability.
- Requirements Management: Gather, prioritize, and manage product and customer requirements, translating them into functional specifications for the engineering team.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Lead and collaborate with various departments, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support, to ensure successful product delivery.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception and development through launch, growth, and eventual retirement.
- Product Launch and Marketing: Work with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute product launch and marketing strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track product performance and customer satisfaction, using feedback and data to drive future product improvements and iterations.
- Profit and Loss Management: Establish and meet financial commitments for revenue and margin, quarterly and annually for assigned product line(s). Manage pricing to maximize sales and margin contribution.
- Product Forecasting: Monthly update unit and financial forecasts for assigned product line(s).
Education & Experience Â
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in product management, business analysis, project management, or a related field.

Preferred:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in product management, business analysis, project management, or related field.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for creating exceptional user experiences and delivering value to customers.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Trello, Agile, IFS, Salesforce, or other product management software.
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools like Google Analytics, PowerBIor SQL.

Location: In-person, Plymouth, Minnesota, with flexibility for hybrid work on Mondays and Fridays
**Annual Base Salary: Starts at $85,000 and may increase dependent on relevant experience and qualifications**
