Duties/Responsibilities
•    Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.
•    Implements the nursing process by assessing patient and family needs and by analyzing assessment data to develop and support clinically accurate diagnoses.
•    Plans care by establishing goals with measurable outcomes.
•    Implements the plan of care and evaluates the patient’s response.
•    Documents care according to BID-Plymouth policy and to regulatory agency requirements.
•    Administers medications, which may include chemotherapy, and performs procedures safely and efficiently according to Jordan policy.
•    Administers blood and blood products according to policy.
•    Evaluates educational and psychosocial needs of the patient and family. Incorporates needs into the plan of care.
•    Manages the environment of care.
•    Recognizes and responds to emergency situations appropriately. Maintains BLS certification.
•    Identifies appropriate community resources to promote continuity of care, and makes appropriate referrals.
•    Works collaboratively and functions as an effective member of the health care team.

Education/Experience Required
•    Evidence of continuing education as required for licensure and/or conditions for accreditation.
•    Demonstrates proficiency in basic nursing process.
•    Graduate of NLN or CCE accredited school of nursing.

Registration/Certification
•    Current R.N. License in Massachusetts.
•    Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
•    Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an RN in oncology or appropriate specialty required.
•    ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy course certificate required.
•    Certification in Oncology Nursing preferred.
•    Maintains BLS certification.

 

 

Pay Range:

$37.14 - $76.08

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
