We are seeking a skilled Shop Technician (CDL Driver) to join our team in Poca, WV. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and supporting the installation of industrial weighing and measurement systems. This position requires a valid CDL, as you will assist with transporting equipment and materials to job sites as needed. You will work closely with our fabrication, service, and operations teams to ensure high-quality workmanship, safety, and timely project completion. 

Requirements

 

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and modify components for industrial weighing and measurement systems according to drawings and specifications
     
  • Perform cutting, welding, grinding, drilling, and fitting of steel and other materials
     
  • Assist with the loading, transportation, and delivery of fabricated equipment using company vehicles (CDL required)
     
  • Support field installations and repairs as needed, working alongside service and installation teams
     
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication
     
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication shop and work environment
     
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and quality standards
     
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications
     
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status and material needs
     
  • Properly use, maintain, and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles
     

Compensation

  • $22.50–$23.50 per hour, based on experience
     
  • Company vehicle provided for work use (no personal vehicle required for job duties)
     
  • Overtime opportunities as needed
     

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
     
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B) with acceptable driving record
     
  • Prior experience in fabrication, welding, or industrial shop environments preferred
     
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawings
     
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools
     
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
     
  • Willingness to support field work and occasional travel as required
     
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic
     
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
