Work Location: This position will be based in the Pocahontas, AR location.

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, with rotating Saturday shift. 

Reports To:   Market President

Job Purpose: Manages overall operation of branch to ensure efficient and satisfactory implementation of customer services keeping with financial institution policies and procedures, as well as manage and direct branch personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Multi-faceted responsibilities range from cash handling and basic transactions to product and service sales, and referrals to other lines of business. Primary skills include key product knowledge, relationship building, customer service and referrals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by supporting customers and team members with high-level transactions, including fraud situations, debit card disputes, and wire transfers.
  • Ensures appropriate scheduling of staff, approves vacations, and utilizes ADP to approve timecards.
  • Provides oversight and direction to branch employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Ensure completion of required cash drawer audits.
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing the onboarding of a new employee.
  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
  • Assists in the training of department personnel as well as helping to review and evaluate performance.
  • Monitors branch's currency levels and maintains cash with accuracy and security. Keeps balances within recommended limits established for their branch.
  • Works with the Activities Committee Member to ensure community involvement in local events.
  • Responsible for cards, flowers, and other tributes for team members for celebrations and memorials.
  • Maintains dual control for safekeeping access, collateral box access, vault and/or night depository entry access, official checks and debit card plastics for instant issue.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships by performing all related customer service representative responsibilities and tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar area is useful but not required.
  • Three to five years’ cash handling experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

 Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
