About the Role

A New Hope provides home and community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on skill development, independence, and quality of life. A New Hope is hiring Behavioral Intervention Technicians to work with children and young adults (ages 3–21) with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.


You will provide 1:1 support and structured interventions to help participants build:

  • Communication skills
  • Social skills
  • Behavioral regulation
  • Independent living skills


Sessions may take place in homes, community locations, or other natural environments based on participant needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Follow and implement behavior intervention and skill-building plans
  • Work directly with participants ages 3–21 in home and community settings
  • Support participants with communication, behavior, and daily living skills
  • Keep accurate session notes and documentation using basic technology
  • Communicate professionally with families, supervisors, and team members
  • Always prioritize participant safety, engagement, and dignity


Qualifications

  • Hold, or be within 24 credits of graduating with, a bachelor's degree in a human services field(e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, or similar)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
  • Basic technology and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt to different environments and situations
  • Willingness to complete RBT training (training available through A New Hope)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check per Idaho state requirements


Pay & Benefits

  • $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
  • Mileage reimbursement between sessions
  • CPR/First Aid and RBT training available through A New Hope
  • Health, dental, and life insurance available for eligible full-time employees
