Job DetailsJob Location: Homewood Main Campus - BIRMINGHAM, AL 35209Position Type: Full TimeWe are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage day-to-day maintenance operations across our main medical campus and outlying clinic locations within a. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, clean, and operational environment for team members, patients and visitors by performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinating specialized services as needed. Key Responsibilities: 路 Conduct daily inspections and perform general maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems. 路 Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and requests from clinical and administrative staff. 路 Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall patching, and furniture repairs as needed. 路 Monitor and maintain interior and exterior areas such as waiting rooms, hallways, parking lots, landscaping, and signage. 路 Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records. 路 Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or major equipment servicing. 路 Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes applicable to medical facilities. 路 Travel to outlying clinics to provide scheduled and emergency maintenance support. 路 Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts. 路 Participate in on-call rotation for urgent facility issues after hours or on weekends as needed. Work Environment: 路 Regular travel between facilities is required. 路 Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. 路 May involve exposure to noise, dust, cleaning agents, and mechanical hazards. Qualifications路 High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred. 路 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment. 路 Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety codes. 路 Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 路 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, rooftops, or in confined spaces as required. 路 Valid driver鈥檚 license and reliable transportation for travel between clinic sites. 路 Basic computer skills (email, work order software, spreadsheets). Preferred Skills: 路 Familiarity with OSHA regulations and basic medical facility compliance standards. 路 Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). 路 Customer service-oriented with strong communication skills. 聽
