Security Program and Integrations Manager

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee IH data integration and data repository environment as well as upgrades, changes and new projects. Work with all third party vendors to ensure no interruption to operations.
  • Work with clients to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and work with staff to merge maintain databases/data systems
  • Conduct business process analysis to identify key business needs, issues and/or gaps
  • Support data integration projects for the IH IT environment
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code and/or data problems
  • Maintain customer profiles and specifications; insert customer and account data from source documents
  • Review data for errors, deficiencies, or incompatibilities. Make necessary corrections and check output data, follow the escalation process as needed.
  • Use pre-built extract, translate, and load tools and monitor error log files
  • Develop and leverage API programming for new and existing system data needs
  • Analyze data validation and conformance outputs and provide feedback to customers
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production processes impacted by data quality
  • Research and recommend software, tools and models for efficient data integration
  • Ensure that information IH produces, maintains, stores, or transmits remains secure through adherence to IH Security Policies and Procedures
  • Monitor the IH infrastructure and enterprise IT environment on a continual basis for threats and vulnerabilities
  • Manage the remediation of identified threats, vulnerabilities and security incidents
  • Update existing security systems, monitor and implement antivirus software, tools and processes
  • Work with IH staff and vendors to create disaster recovery plans
  • Research, assess, test, upgrade and integrate any new and existing security software and technology
  • Assess security breach and create incident reports as necessary

 

 

 

Strategic Leadership

  1. Develop and Lead Security Strategies:
    • Create, implement, and oversee a comprehensive security and data integration roadmap that aligns with IH's business objectives and compliance requirements.
  2. Vendor Risk Management:
    • Evaluate third-party vendors for data security risks and ensure vendor compliance with IH security standards, including audits and remediation plans.
  3. Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Partner with business units and stakeholders to identify security requirements for new projects and ensure alignment with integration strategies.
  4. Policy Development and Governance:
    • Establish and enforce governance frameworks for data integration, IT processes, and security policies in compliance with HIPAA/HITRUST standards, as well as NIST.

Operational Enhancements

  1. Automation Initiatives:
    • Design and implement automation solutions for repetitive data integration and security monitoring tasks to improve efficiency and reduce error rates.
  2. Key Performance Metrics:
    • Define, track, and report on KPIs for data integration processes, security incidents, and system performance to IT Director.
  3. Proactive Threat Intelligence:
    • Establish a proactive threat intelligence program to anticipate security risks and identify preventive measures before they impact operations.
  4. Data Governance:
    • Oversee data governance efforts, ensuring accurate, consistent, and reliable data across systems while maintaining compliance.

Team and Incident Management

  1. Advanced Incident Management:
    • Lead post-incident reviews (PIRs) and establish lessons learned to continuously improve incident response processes.

Innovation and Advanced Expertise

  1. Emerging Technologies:
    • Assist with the evaluation, adoption, and integration of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning) into IH's data and security ecosystems.
  2. Advanced Security Architecture:
    • Oversee the design and maintenance of IH's Zero Trust security architecture, ensuring minimal access and high-security standards for all systems.
  3. Data Integration Optimization:
    • Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency across multiple environments, including cloud, on-premises, and third-party systems.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, with equivalent experience considered.
