Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To safely and efficiently lead packaging, bulk loading, truck loading, and rail operations while ensuring compliance with company policies, ISO standards, environmental health and safety regulations, and operational procedures. Responsible for supporting production goals through leadership, equipment oversight, safety auditing, incident reporting, employee training, and maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Will act as Step Up Supervisor when the Supervisor is on vacation
- Hazardous Energy Control PIC for Permitting Rail and Packaging Warehouse
- Relieve Shift properly
- Complete Monthly Inspections
- Perform Safety Audits of all Personnel at Rail Switching, Packaging, and Truck Loading
- Initiate Incident Reports and Reporting to Safety of Incidents
- Inspect equipment and initiate Work Orders for repairs
- Utilize the Call Out List when employees call
- Verify Production for all areas
- Handle resample request from the lab.
- Complete sales return documentation
- Verify that all shift inspections are being performed
- Verify that all THM Policies and Procedures are being performed
- Operator will be required to be knowledgeable in all duties performed by a Packaging/Bulk Loading/Truck Loading/Rail Operations Operator.
- Maintain log book
- Abide by the Quality Policy in regards to ISO 9000 and will abide by the Environmental, Health and Safety requirements as they pertain to ISO 14001.
- Adhere/Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety,Federal and State laws, regulatory and company requirements.
- Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.
- Be active in Operation Clean Sweep, and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup and disposal.
- Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3-5 years Packaging, Bulk Loading, Truck Loading, Rail Operations experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous Related Experience Required
- 3-5 years Packaging/Bulk Loading/Truck Loading /Rail Operations experience preferred but not required; High School graduate or equivalent; Current, State-issued Driver’s License
- Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
- Knowledge of bulk loading, packaging systems, rail switching coordination, and safe material transfer procedures.
- Experience with Hazardous Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout), OSHA standards, ISO 9000/14001 compliance, safety audits, and incident reporting.
- Skilled in operating forklifts, locomotives, packaging equipment, and initiating maintenance work orders through equipment inspections and troubleshooting.
- Ability to verify production activities, maintain operational logbooks, complete inspections, manage compliance documentation, and support quality assurance processes.
- Self-motivated, curious and eager to learn.
- Willingness to take over areas of responsibilities.
