Absolute Staffers is hiring Dental Assistants for one of its clients in a secure healthcare setting. These roles support clinical operations by assisting dental and radiology services, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all applicable healthcare and regulatory standards in a controlled environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Dental Officers in procedures including restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthetics, and examinations
Prepare patients and treatment rooms for procedures
Sterilize instruments and maintain dental equipment
Take and process dental radiographs and maintain imaging records
Record patient information in electronic and paper medical records
Provide dental hygiene education and assist with prophylaxis
Assist in emergency dental care and patient management
Maintain infection control and safety standards

Qualifications

Active certification to practice as a Dental Assistant (State of Louisiana)
Minimum of 2 years of experience
CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Training in dental radiology and safety

Work Environment & Requirements

Work is performed in a secure, controlled-access healthcare facility
Must pass background investigation and drug screening prior to start
Must comply with all institutional security and privacy regulations
Frequent interaction with patients in a correctional setting
Must be free from communicable diseases and may require medical clearance
Required to attend orientation and ongoing training

Schedule

Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays
Approximately 1,960 hours annually per position

Shift Timings

Typically between 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
