Patient Care Technician

Job Summary

TheĀ Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatmentĀ team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients working underĀ theĀ medicalĀ direction of a Registered Nurse (RN)Ā in person orĀ telephonic.Ā  The primary focus is direct patient care as directed andĀ delegated by the RN, Milieu Lead, Operation Supervisor, OperationsĀ Administrator,Ā or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for theĀ safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmentalĀ and patient specific safety concerns, and elevating those concerns to theĀ RN,Ā RNĀ Supervisor, Operation Supervisor,Ā or designee as needed.Ā 


Skills/Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma or GED required.Ā Ā AssociatesĀ DegreeĀ or higherĀ preferred.Ā 
  • Minimum 6 months of Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations.Ā 
  • 3-5Ā yearsĀ of Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situationsĀ required for the Pool PCT.Ā 
  • 5-7 yearsĀ of Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situationsĀ required for the Float PCT.Ā 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experienceĀ
