About the Role:
The Director, Trading, is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the strategic sales initiatives within the aircraft trading division. This role focuses on expanding the company's market presence by identifying and securing new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The Director will lead a high-performing sales team, setting ambitious targets and ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives. They will oversee complex negotiations and transactions involving various types of aircraft, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client requirements. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in maximizing revenue growth and enhancing the company’s reputation in the competitive aircraft trading market.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience within the aviation or aircraft trading industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and closing high-value aircraft transactions.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft types, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements in the United States.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Aviation Management.
- Experience working with international aircraft markets and cross-border transactions.
- Established network of industry contacts including brokers, operators, and manufacturers.
- Familiarity with aviation finance, leasing structures, and aircraft valuation methodologies.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the aircraft trading sector.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to optimize performance and foster professional growth.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, brokers, and industry stakeholders to expand the company’s network and sales pipeline.
- Oversee the negotiation and closing of aircraft sales and acquisitions, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and operations to facilitate smooth transaction processes and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine sales approaches and product offerings.
