Executive Director - Daycare Center
Location: Tallahassee, FloridaPay Rate: $20-$23/hr
The Center Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and education of the children in our care, while also overseeing the operational management of the center in accordance with established guidelines. This includes curriculum development, staff management, facilities upkeep, legal compliance, and strategic planning. The Center Director must balance the needs of our students with the goals of the center to create a positive and productive environment. What You'll Do
- Define a clear and compelling vision for the center, ensuring that all quality standards are met and exceeded in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Collaborate with staff to develop engaging and effective educational programs, while maintaining adherence to state and local requirements.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date student records are maintained, following established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents through regular communication, newsletters, and the parent handbook, as well as through community outreach activities.
- Approve meal plans and food purchases to meet the nutritional needs of our students.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring legal and financial compliance.
- Oversee all office functions, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tuition billing and payment, human resources, and personnel management.
- Effectively resolve conflicts and address issues in a fair and timely manner, promoting a positive experience for everyone.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring that we are meeting our financial goals while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Develop and implement illness and emergency procedures, ensuring that staff is properly trained.
- Implement strategic plans and goals that align with the mission of our program.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and continuously improve our programs.
- Promote an agency culture in line with the vision of TLP. Maintaining employee satisfaction and moral of the work of those under their supervision,Â
- Effectively communicate staff training needs and requests with the Senior Director including time frames. Including but not limited to teacher work improvement plans & T.E.A.C.H scholarship recommendations.Â
- Schedule, plan and facilitate 3 parent meetings annually as assigned by the Senior Director.
- Establish and maintain safe, nurturing, clean, well-organized, and healthy facility including common areas and indoor/outdoor learning environments at all times.Â
- Ensure all child records, portfolios, screenings, assessments, parent conferences are completed within the appropriate time frame as outlined in GWTLP Procedural Instructions.
