Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Ponca City, OK 74601Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedJob Shift: DayAssembly Mechanic    Job Description    Department: Production Assembly    Job Status: Full-Time    FLSA Status: Hourly   Reports To: Assembly Manager    Location: Ponca City, OK    Amount of Travel Required: N/A    Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.       Positions Supervised: N/A      POSITION SUMMARY:  The Assembly Mechanic will utilize a combination of hand tools, electric and pneumatic power tools, cranes and forklifts while following written, verbal, and visual instructions, blueprints and assembly drawings to help create a finished product.      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")    Studies applicable drawings and prints of work to be performed and follows instructions.  Must have an intermediate understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their related functions and components.  Must be able to utilize basic measuring tools and instruments.  Must be able to perform basic shop math equations.  Must be able to determine the proper tools required to perform given task.  Must be able to understand and follow directions from a lead person or supervisor.  Must completely follow shop related safety protocol, policies, and procedures.  Cleans and maintains tools and equipment used in the work and keeps the work area clean.  Operates and utilizes lifting aids as necessary to perform work.  Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.  QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.  Must be at least 18 years of age or older.  Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) and pre-employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).  In person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK.  Overtime required based on business needs.  Proficiency in spoken English language.       EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL     Required:     Highschool Diploma or GED.  5+ years in manufacturing operations.  Minimum 2–3 years supervisory or management experience in assembly or production.  Practical experience with assembly processes, hand tools, fixtures, torque tools, jigs, test equipment, and basic electrical/mechanical assembly practices.  Proficiency with MES/ERP systems and Microsoft Office; ability to use data to drive decisions.     Preferred:     Experience with high‑mix or high‑volume assembly environments.   Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or OSHA; supervisory training.       QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES     Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.   Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.   Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams, develop talent, and manage change.   Results‑oriented with focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail.   Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.   Proficiency with MES/ERP and Microsoft Office; able to use data and KPIs to inform decisions.   Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and quality systems; Six Sigma familiarity preferred.   Ability to train operators and sustain standard work practices.       PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT     The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
