JOB SUMMARY:   The Night Shift Residential Supervisor assists in overseeing the operations of the Residential Services Program during the third shift. This role ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements through the monitoring and training of staff, oversight of safety protocols (including bed checks), and management of behavioral incidents. The Supervisor is also responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) monitoring, reporting, and administrative documentation for all overnight activities.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   Operational Oversight & Safety   Site Monitoring: Conduct random nightly monitorings of all homes and call all remote sites nightly; physically visit remote sites as needed. Auto-Dialer: Maintain calls to ensure staff are awake at all locations. Safety Protocols: Monitor and ensure compliance with the night-time bed check system. Emergency Leadership: Act as the on-site supervisor with authority to reassign staff and manage emergencies or crisis situations. Shift Coverage: Serve as emergency fill-in staff for the 3rd shift when necessary.   Staff Supervision & Training   Training: Train staff on client Personal Improvement Plans (PIPs), orientation protocols, and general 3rd shift behavioral expectations. Administrative Support: Assist Program Coordinators with staff scheduling and provide input for House Managers regarding staff performance appraisals. Leave & Attendance: Record staff call-ins and initial approval for 3rd shift annual leave requests. Advocacy: Actively represent the interests and needs of the 3rd shift staff to management.   Quality Assurance & Documentation   Reporting: Perform QA monitoring and reporting specifically for the third shift. Records Management: Ensure incident reports are completed accurately, filing is maintained, and all behavioral/staffing documentation is up to date. Daily Logistics: Ensure meal prep for the following day is completed and that cleaning/laundry schedules are being followed by staff.   Compliance & Communication   Language: Must speak the English language exclusively while clients are present. Transportation: Must drive SCL approved/assigned vehicles. Certifications: Maintain up-to-date training in client-specific needs, MAT, MOPI, CPR, and First Aid.  QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge & Compliance Company Policy: Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and medication administration guidelines. Regulations: Comprehensive understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Safety Standards: Proficient in reading and interpreting complex regulatory documents to ensure house compliance. Professional Skills Clinical Support: Skill in working with individuals with developmental disabilities with empathy and professionalism. Emergency Care: Skill in administering CPR and basic first aid in high-pressure situations. Leadership: Proven skill in supervising, training, and motivating staff in a positive, collaborative manner. Operations: Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills to manage 3rd shift logistics. Communication & Behavior Professionalism: Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with staff, families, and residents. Discretion: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate appropriately regarding sensitive situations. Reporting: Ability to read, write, and maintain accurate, detailed records and incident reports. Teamwork: Ability to work independently while participating in a team-oriented approach to service delivery; includes giving and accepting constructive feedback. Language: Ability to speak the English language fluently. Physical & Logistics Requirements Strength: Ability to perform at least medium work (lifting/exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds frequently). Stamina: Ability to stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks as assigned. Flexibility: Ability to work irregular hours, including overnight stays and emergency shift coverage. Technical: Ability to use a computer and telephone for reporting and monitoring.       EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE   Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a related field (developmental disabilities preferred). Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet insurance requirements to drive company vehicles.
