Speech Therapist (PRN) – Nursing Home Setting


We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for residents

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders

- Provide therapy sessions to residents to improve speech clarity, language skills, and swallowing safety

- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and family members to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes

- Document resident progress and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with facility policies

- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based approaches in speech therapy


Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

- Proven experience working with elderly populations in nursing home or long-term care settings preferred

- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

- Flexibility to work PRN hours as needed
