We are seeking an Attorney Performance Specialist to join our growing team within our Centralized Operations department! This is a mid-level role within the management of our internal litigation portfolio and attorney relationships. This position is responsible for ensuring appropriate contracting and managing of Republic Finance's attorney network. In this capacity, the individual will track, review and report set targets for attorney performance, settle appropriate allocation of newly assigned files, and contact any attorney firm in which you feel our relationship should terminate. You will oversee and update file processes with attorney firms, and be involved with the management and process of potential charge-off accounts. In this function, you will work with other litigation team-members ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and monitoring updates to company's host system. Job responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Relationship manager of attorneys filing litigated actions on behalf of Republic Finance.
  • Ensure that service level agreement (SLA) processes and targets are adhered to and proactively address when attorneys are not meeting.
  • Review and provide feedback to attorneys on firm's production
  • Recommendation of termination of attorneys due to performance or compliance issues.
  • Reconcile account balances with attorney's.
  • Involvement with new attorney relationships including contracts, Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and file requirements.
  • Review and process potential legal charge-off accounts for holds and saves.
  • Discuss voluntary payment arrangements and settlement options for legal accounts.
  • Update attorney files and import into Access/absVision.
  • Review and confirm attorney documents to ensure suit amount matches amount provided at time of suit.
  • Handle inbound litigation accounts including calls and emails from attorney firms, customers and branches with professionalism.
  • Abide by policies and procedures when resolving suitable collection solutions including the Fair Debt Collection Law and all Policy and Procedure.
  • Retrieve files of all legal payments from attorney firm on a monthly basis to ensure all payments are applied and for calculating liquidation rates of the firm.
  • Discuss legal allocation strategy and assignment of new filing's strategy with Litigation Account Specialist.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 Years of relevant experience in handling collection accounts including bankruptcy, litigation and recovery
  • Strong understanding of litigation process
  • Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Operates at the highest level of integrity
  • Ability to maintain good record keeping
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Professional appearance, goal oriented and positive demeanor
  • Maintains high level of communication, analytical and negotiating skills
