Job Title: Pack-off Scanner                       FLSA Status: Hourly                                               Department: Production/ Pack-off
SUMMARY: The Pack-off Scanner plays a critical role in the efficient and accurate tracking of finished products during the final stages of the production process. This position is responsible for scanning items, verifying labels, and maintaining accurate inventory records as products are prepared for shipment. The Pack-off Scanner ensures that all packaging, labeling, and tracking of products is completed according to company standards and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines. Additionally, this role involves identifying any discrepancies, assisting with inventory counts, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are essential to this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive at the workstation on time and fully prepared for the shift.
- Retrieve and set up necessary equipment, including scanners, printers, and tracking paperwork.
- Understand and apply information from PE formula sheets, pallet IDs, and receiving labels to ensure accuracy.
- Accurately scan items being used in production, including lot numbers and pallet IDs, ensuring proper documentation.
- Notify supervisors of any discrepancies in inventory, formulas, or labels for prompt resolution.
- Assist with cycle counts and quarterly inventory checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of product records.
- Maintain accurate records of all scanned products and ensure proper documentation of each item.
- Verify that all labels are printed correctly and adjust or replace labels when necessary to maintain accuracy.
- Scan finished product pallets, ensuring they are correctly tracked and recorded in the system.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work area in full compliance with GMP and safety policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of scanning and tracking processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in other areas of production as needed to ensure smooth operations and meet team goals.
- Be flexible to work weekends, overtime, and any required shifts based on production needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental and company objectives.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Complete GMP training to ensure a thorough understanding of food safety standards and the importance of compliance in maintaining product quality and safety.
- Participate in Pallet Jack Training to safely and efficiently operate equipment for moving materials and products within the production area.
- Receive Scanner Training to accurately scan and track products, ensuring proper documentation and inventory management.

- Strong punctuality and attendance are essential for success in this role.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain legible and accurate records.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with scanning equipment (scanners and printers).
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must always adhere to all company policies and GMP guidelines.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or other shifts as required by the production schedule.
- Bilingual skills and technological literacy skills are a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED, and/or related experience. On-the-job training will be provided.
