Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is responsible for overseeing all HR functions at a manufacturing printing facility with 200-300 employees. This role manages a team of 1–2 HR professionals and serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership. The HRM ensures effective employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and workforce development. The HRM collaborates with fellow HR Managers and report directly to a VP of Human Resources to implement company policies, drive best practices, and foster an engaged and high-performing workforce.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor site HR staff to support daily HR operations, ensuring timely service and high-quality support to employees and supervisors.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives to attract and retain skilled employees.
- Administer performance management, corrective action, and coaching processes while ensuring fair, consistent application of policies.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage and hour requirements.
- Oversee payroll coordination, employee records, job documentation, and HRIS accuracy.
- Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations, ensuring timely, documented outcomes and risk mitigation.
- Support benefits administration, leave management, and communication of total rewards programs.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, culture programs, training, and site communications.
- Participate in cross-location HR collaboration to implement corporate programs, process improvements, and operational consistency.
- Develop metrics and HR reporting to drive decision-making, identify trends, and support continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a multi-function HR generalist capacity.
- Proven experience with employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy implementation.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information discreetly and professionally.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard business tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Prior HR leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Experience supervising direct HR staff reports.
- Knowledge of HR best practices

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both an office environment and on the plant floor as needed.
- Regular periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

- Minimal travel for job fairs, company meetings, training, etc.
- May require an occasional overnight stay.
