Mechanic Assistant

Onsite:

This is an onsite position that requires the selected candidate to be onsite 5 days per week in Pontiac, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment (brakes, oil changes, greasing, etc.)
• Assist lead mechanics with in-depth repairs
• Complete assignments efficiently and with accuracy
• Responsible for keeping the mechanics bay neat and organized
• Assist with maintaining the inventory of parts and supplies
• Participate in on-the-job training as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience with mechanics/wrenching
• Self-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced setting
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to receive constructive criticism
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
