Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Entry Authorization in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.68 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, policy violations, and access control needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
